The second addition to our family of hubs, the SpeakerHub adds audio functionality to your devices' gateway to the internet. The SpeakerHub is capable of informing and alerting you audibly. This includes not only playing built-in sounds and tones, and MP3 audio files of your choice, but reading out messages in a clear and understandable spoken message via text-to-speech.

SpeakerHub can read out your notifications in clear text-to-speech messages (English language support only at this time). It can play from a library of tones and sounds. It can even play your own MP3 files!

Powered by Amazon Web Services, your YoLink system is protected by banking-grade security, encryption, redundancies and back-ups. All YoLink communications are two-way encrypted.
No WiFi Worries!
Your YoLink devices do not rely on WiFi, they instead communicate using the LoRa-based (long-range & low-power) wireless network generated by your Hub. Your YoLink devices do not need WiFi, which may have a weak signal or may not be available where it is needed. Typical WiFi-based smart devices can bog down your WiFi, creating traffic jams and poor performance, and each WiFi device is a potential security risk, a potential back door for hackers.
No WiFi, No Internet, No Power - No Problem!
Thanks to our unique Control-D2D device-to-device pairing, you can easily create links between one device and up to 128 other devices. Once a pairing relationship is set, the devices will respond accordingly, even if the WiFi or internet is down and even if the power* is out! This is perfect for critical operations, such as water leak detection and automatic water shut-off.
*Battery-powered devices only or AC-powered devices on UPS or emergency power.
Applications
- SpeakerHub can be used with one or more of our , to create a customized driveway alert system. With our smart In-Wall Switches, exterior lighting, flood lights, etcetera, can be activated as well
- When used with our , be audibly alerted when the laundry is finished
- When used with our be audibly informed when a door is unlocked and by whom
- SpeakerHub has many applications for assisting those with vision loss or impairment.
- In addition to YoLink system-related messages, Alexa and IFTTT can be used to play messages on the SpeakerHub, not related to the YoLink system
- SpeakerHub has many applications in elder care, for example. A system of motion sensors and door sensors can be used to track an individual's activity in the home, as well as based on time of day. With door and/or motion sensors, SpeakerHub can help by playing messages such as "Dad, it's not time to get out of bed yet, please go back to bed" (uploading of your custom audio files is coming soon)
- Alexa can trigger your custom messages played by SpeakerHub. This may be desirable in locations where an Alexa speaker is not practical, possible (no WiFi), or acceptable (keep in mind, SpeakerHub does not have a microphone and can not listen)
